Back on Aussie Soil...

So it was finally drawing the end of our trip. However it was also the day my mates and I were all dreading… the long hours in transit back home at almost over 24hours to be exact both of travelling and being in transit. Beginning with an extra early 4 hour flight from Hong Kong to Malaysia then waiting in transit for another 7.5hours at Malaysia Airport for our connecting flights to our final destination of the trip the Gold Coast - Queensland! Waiting in transit didn’t feel as long as we’d expected it to be, considering how much fun we always have with each others company. But before you know it, we were finally on that final 7 hour flight back to Aussie soil. Even though it wasn’t exactly home quite yet, but the moment we finally touched down in Queensland it was just good to actually be back home on Aussie soil again. Back to familiar customs, unattractive Bogan Aussie accents, varieties of foods and working mobile phone activity again haha. Checking into our final hotel of the trip at the Merriton Apartments, most of us wanted to nothing better than take a nice long shower and rest up in the hotel or bask in fresh air and Vitamin D on the balcony of our apartment considering how jet lag we all were from almost 24hours travelling and in transit. Unfortunately for few of us, we ended up catching a bad cold from the constant change in weather climates on the trip, so there weren’t any real interests to do anything intense but to just simply relax on our final night. So later that night in Queensland, we decided to gather up all together for our final ‘family’ dinner of the trip at a nearby Spanish/Mexican restaurant called ‘The Aztec’ for some few good burritos, tacos, tapas and sangrias followed by gelatos on-the-go, more relaxations, final D&M’s, laughs and thunder and lightning watching from our balcony back at the hotel before we finally crashed out on our final night of our crazy journey...
