A day's escape to Paradise Islands

It was only our second day in Phuket and only after our first day there we immediately sought out to organise and book ourselves a day tour across several smaller islands around Phuket. If it’s definitely another thing you must do in Thailand, than it is to get yourself on one of these set tours. You can honestly find a tour agent in every corner along Patong Beach and book yourself one for the next day, as simple as that! I cannot stress how amazing, memorable and worthwhile that day was. It would have to top off as one of the most relaxing and beautiful day of the trip. Crossing the seaside in an extremely bumpy but fun speed boat ride across to seven different destinations. From Monkey Beach – where we had the chance to go snorkelling, Maya island - where the movie ‘The Beach’ was filmed ft. Leonardo Di Caprio, to Phi Phi islands and several other smaller islands. Plenty of sun, swimming and bathing in crystal blue waters at incredibly perfect temperature, snorkelling, provided buffet lunch, and more swimming all day. Incredibly beautiful! By the end of the tour, spending an entire day basking in sun and swimming took a lot of energy out of us. No surprises we were all so terribly exhausted after that long day to the point that after all agreeing to only ‘nap’ for an hour or two to be fully re-energised again because we wanted to maximise all the nights we had in Phuket and actually head out for drinks later that night. However our so called 'nap' from 7pm ended up being almost a 12hour crash sleep for everyone till next morning. Hilariously enough absolutely everyone slept right through their alarms! But after so much activity that day, we really did deserve a good long sleep for once on the trip. Thailand’s all about relaxing right?
